Our team of coaches puts the players first, develops character as well as skills, fosters internal motivation, coaches for mastery, and creates a partnership with the player that honors the game. Below is a bit of background information on each of our elite coaches. Please feel free to call for more information, so we can be sure to get you pair up with the best coach to fit your needs as a student.

A PGA Class A member since 2004, Kelly has worked and taught throughout the West Valley since 1998. A retired Canadian Air Force Officer, he has competed since the age of 11 and continues to compete today with the Southwest Section PGA and the Southwest Senior Golf Association. Kelly’s teaching style is very simple. He will work with what you have unless you absolutely want to rebuild. There are concepts and principles that work better than others, but the priority is to create consistent impact. Kelly wants you to swing the golf club faster but not to the detriment of solid contact. Kelly’s teaching experience has equipped him to communicate just as effectively with beginner’s as with aspiring tour players. Although the technology at the Legacy Performance Center is amazing Kelly is not reliant upon teaching with it at the request of the student.
After playing collegiate golf at Eckerd College and graduating with a B.A. in Business Administration Kris developed a passion for teaching golf. Kris’s approach to teaching is to simplify the game by providing specialized instruction to each individual. Each golfer has a certain amount of steep and shallow angles in their swing; Kris’s ultimate goal is to get each golfers swing balanced with the right amount of steep and shallow angles leading to a correct and repetitive impact. Kris was fortunate to learn these principles from his mentor Jake Sandusky, and has continued learning from Top 100 Instructors’ Jim Hardy and Chris O’Connell over the last few years. With this simplified approach to golf instruction the goal is that all students will improve their impact conditions and play better golf right away.
